Villalonga is nestled in a privileged natural environment on the northern slopes of the Serra de la Safor, with mountainous relief, ravines and Mediterranean vegetation.

A main management challenge is that more than 99% of the municipal area is privately owned, which complicates forestry and maintenance interventions in the face of effects such as fires.

The council has announced that it will begin forest inspections from June to promote mandatory maintenance of private plots by owners.

The Serpis greenway is also being promoted as a measure for sustainable tourism and the promotion of non-motorized mobility.
